Malaysia“s Poly Glass Fiber (M) Berhad posted group pretax profit of MYR 1.65 million (USD 434,210) for the nine months to 30 November 2004, up 410.9% from the year-ago period. This was mainly a result of better sales achieved by the glasswool division, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia. Poly Glass Fiber, a leading manufacturer and marketer of fiberglass wool for thermal and acoustic insulation for commercial, industrial and residential applications, said group revenue for the period rose 6.5% year-on-year to MYR 26.059 million. During the three months to 30 November 2004, group turnover declined 18.81% year-on-year to MYR 7.96 million while pre-tax profit fell 55.4% on-year to MYR 588,000.
