Polish glassworks Huta Szkla Gospodarczego Irena SA bought back 4.84% of its equity or 310,000 shares (and the same number voting rights), at an average price of PLN 10.5 (USD 2.7 / EUR 2.6) per share, the company said on 11 December 2002. Irena repurchased its shares with a view to writing them off, the company said. The nominal value of the bought shares was PLN 930,000 (USD 235,000 / EUR 234,000).
