French luxury glass perfume bottles and containers manufacturer and distributor Pochet posted a net attributable profit for 2004 of EUR 11.5 million (USD 14.8 million), down 33% year-on-year, it was reported on 25 March 2005. Consolidated net profit was hit by the performance of Pochet“s subsidiary, crystal, porcelain, jewellery, perfume, and fine leather goods retailer Lalique, which registered a EUR 12.9 (USD 16.7 million) loss in 2004. Pochet“s small bottles manufacturing business reported a EUR 20.9 million (USD 27 million) net profit, down by 5.8% year-on-year while the plastic packaging business registered a EUR 3.6 million (USD 4.7 million) profit. Operating profit went up by 7.7% to EUR 32.1 million (USD 41.6 million). The group reported a EUR 370.9 million (USD 480 million) turnover, a 13.8% increase due to the 100% integration of the Qualipac company in 2004. On a constant basis the turnover should decrease by 4.3% year-on-year to EUR 311.7 million (USD 403.5 million). The company will propose a dividend of EUR 3.6 (USD 4.7) per share at the general shareholders“ meeting on 12 May 2005. (Note: All figures are for 2004 compared to 2003)
