The UK“s Pentagon Protection PLC, a provider of security and bomb-blast protection for windows, said its loss for the 1H fiscal 2006 increased further, in line with expectations. The firm also announced the appointment of former managing director Alan Nicholl as interim chairman. In a statement, the company blamed the higher losses on the fact that it continued to bear the losses of its automotive division, which has since been sold. In the six months to 31 March 2006, sales rose to GBP 1.430 million from GBP 1.369 million previously while the loss was GBP 638,000, up from GBP 563,000. CEO Graham Bannerman said Pentagon Protection“s “growing domestic and overseas order books are already justifying the company“s much needed restructuring”.
