Custom design allows for fabrication of flat glass up to 3.5 by 20 metres
It’s been a busy season full of impressive accomplishments for NorthGlass. After setting multiple world records with their glass tempering furnaces, NorthGlass has customized another furnace for Seele & Sedak, who are one of NorthGlass’s regular customers in Germany, enabling their client to fabricate flat glass up to 3.5 by 20 metres. A single panel of such a large size of glass can fabricate a five-storey building facade, which is undoubtedly a piece of amazing and stunning artwork.
Seele & Sedak is one of the world’s most famous jumbo-size glass manufacturers and one of the architectural glass suppliers for the headquarters building of Apple Inc. Since 2007, the company has been providing oversize glass to many globally well-known enterprises and top-level landmark buildings.
The 3 sets of oversize glass tempering furnaces the company currently put into production were all purchased from NorthGlass, each of which was a technological revolution at the time. The fourth furnace newly ordered from NorthGlass brings a further expansion of the production capacity of Seele & Sedak. With this new furnace putting into production, the company will become the only global glass manufacturer capable of fabricating glass up to 3.5 by 20 metres, strengthening their leading role as a jumbo-size glass specialist.
“In recent years, the market demand for jumbo-size glass has been growing year by year,” said Bernhard Veh, the general manager of Seele & Sedak. “Ten-year technical experiences and sustainably optimistic order demands encourages us to take this new step.”
In the global bidding project launched by Seele & Sedak for the furnace procurement, NorthGlass won by virtue of the company’s strong technical strength and cutting-edge processed glass quality. NorthGlass will continue to spare no effort to respond customers’ trust and support with action and willingly walks together with customers hand in hand along the road to success.
