27 May 1999: The Japanese company Nihon Yamahura Glass, a manufacturer of glass bottles, has forecast group sales of 75.10 billion yen and a net profit of 550 million yen for the year to 31 March 1999. Previous forecasts for the same period were sales of 75.10 billion yen and a net loss of 800 million yen. Actual sales for a year ago were 68.46 million yen and a net loss of 638 million yen was made. According to a report, the latest forecast for sales for the parent company was 68.20 billion yen compared to actual sales of 62.50 million yen a year ago. Latest net profit for the parent company was forecast at 150 million yen compared to an actual net profit of 18 million yen last year.
