A US$ 75 million syndicated loan facility was signed with 23 banks by Indonesia“s glassmaker PT Muliaglass, according to lead arranger Bank Bira and BA Asia. The loans, with an interest rate of 1.9% for offshore and 2.4% for onshore banks over the Singapore interbank offered rate (SIBOR), will be used to expand its float glass capacity, the lead arrangers said. It said the syndication was oversubscribed by 40%. Among the onshore banks were Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, Societa General, Sumitomo Niaga and Deutsche Bank.
