29 July 1999: According to audited results, the Czecg glass and crystal manufacturer Moser ended last year with a net profit of Kcs 3 million against a profit of Kcs 4.6 million posted in 1997, said company director Antonin Vlk. Overall revenues grew 16% year on year to Kcs 233.5 million, while revenues from sales added 15% to Kcs 216.3 million last year. Vlk said the company had increased sales in the Czech Republic by 18% year on year. Exports grew as well, accounting for 35% of revenues and 55% of total production last year. Vlk explained the difference was due to the domestic sales in the company“s own retail network. Investments totalled nearly Kcs 15 million last year. This year Moser expects its revenues to grow some 10%, and profit should be higher as well. Moser is owned by the Iris company, which holds a stake of 85% in the manufacture. Moser“s share capital amounts to Kcs 70.4 million, and the company employs 385 workers.
