Moldovan glass manufacturer, Glass Continer Company, posted a profit of US$ 2.3 mln in 2000. It reported a 7.7% year-on-year increase in sales, to US$ 13 million in 2000, and an increase in output, 1.5 times, in 2000, compared to 1999. About 65% of the goods produced by Glass Continer was sold on the local market and the rest was exported to Ukraine, Russia and Romania. The company“s shareholders decided to reinvest the entire 2000 profit in the development of production.
