There is mourning in the glass industry following the passing on Sunday 27 February 2022 of Massimo Antonini, President of Antonini Srl, an Italian company specialized in the construction of annealing lehrs.
The Antonini company was founded by the father of Massimo and Cesare after the war. In the 1980s the two brothers made a profound change by transforming the company from an artisanal company to an industrial one. This change allowed the company to expand not only nationally but also internationally. Today it is among the industry leaders and boasts the presence of over 2,000 installations in 87 countries.
The whole world of glass gathers around the family during such a sad moment, and we remember him as a man with a vision of the future, tenacious and deeply attached to the company.
Someone said of him “he loved to see the glass stretch and become a bottle”, finding a kind of magic in a material that transforms itself and animates.
