The power and autoglass group Kyro recorded a profit of Euros 88.6 million after financial items in the first eight months of this year, up from Euros3.9 million in the corresponding period in 1999. The profit figure includes Euros75.6 million from the successful share issue and listing of Tecnomen in the summer. The group“s sales increased by 34% to Euros 110.4 million. The group“s glass industry unit Tamglass trebled its profit to Euros 8.3 million on turnover of Euros 56.6 million. The Kyro group plans to divide the group into two companies, one of which would take Tecnomen, while the other would comprise both Tamglass and Kyro Power.
