Bloo Solar has announced that John Bohland has joined Bloo Solar as vice president of Module Operations. Bohland has led technical manufacturing operations for over 25 years, including start-up of First Solar“s initial 20 MW CdTe thin-film PV coating line. He has experience in atmospheric and vacuum semiconductor deposition technologies, process and equipment engineering management, and project management from concept to commercialization. Bohland has successfully led the scaling and commercialization of CdTe modules including IEC and UL certification activities. He has also led the development of technical glass products such as anti-reflective glass, hydrophobic coatings and UV blocking glass. He developed recycling technology for CdTe and silicon PV modules. Bohland is named in numerous patents related to paper coating, glass coating and PV module recycling. He is a certified Project Management Professional. His broad experience in operations, solar module manufacturing and thin-film technologies makes him a valuable addition to the Bloo Solar team.
