Jizerske sklo Lucany nad Nisou, a producer of glass in the Czech Republic, posted Kcs 2.3 million worth of pre-tax profit on Kcs 130 million revenues last year, according to CEO Cestmir Drobnik. Drobnik added that, in 1998, the company posted a profit of Kcs 1.41 million on the same revenues. “This year the results might be even better. The orders we“ve contracted will maintain our revenues on last year“s level,” Drobnik said, adding that the company is negotiating further contracts. Jizerske sklo“s largest customers are Zeleznobrodske sklo and Bizuterie Jablonec and the company exports 10% of its production. Jizerske sklo has 250 staff and share capital amounts to Kcs 59.05 million. The majority owner is Sklarska surovina (57%); Ornela controls 36.5%.
