Japanese glass bottle producer Ishizuka Glass Co. Ltd. has announced that it is to maintain a dividend payment of JPY 4, for 1995/96, even though the company saw a decline in profits (see Glass Machinery Plants & Accessories no. 4-96). Despite these results, Ishizuka is forecasting improvements for the 1996/97 financial year. Sales are expected to increase only slightly to JPY 45.54 billion (from the JPY 45.25 billion obtained this year), but net profit is predicted to increase four-fold to JPY 100 million and the earnings per share figure should rise to JPY 2.76. The dividend is expected to remain unchanged.
