11 March 1999: Window manufacturer Indigo Products, based in Aldridge, near Birmingham (UK), is planning to expand and create new jobs following the completion of a UK 3 million management buyout led by managing director Peter Hepwood. The buyout is also supported by the Birmingham office of venture capital company 3i, which reportedly provided UK 1 million for the deal. The company has a UK 7.3 million turnover and a staff of 130. According to a report, the buyout was also funded by Birmingham-based invoice discounter and factoring specialist Euro Sales Finance and the Royal Bank of Scotland, who jointly provided debt of UK 1.25 million. The deal was sealed by Birmingham-based independent corporate finance adviser Invex.
