Fastlane Glassgate 400 from Integrated Design Ltd. (IDL) has been installed in Macedonia to secure the new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of a large Global Corporation. Fastlane Glassgate 400 uses glass barriers of up to 1.8m in height, in conjunction with state-of-the-art optical technology to provide a high throughput security gate. The bi-directional glass barriers are designed to work in a “normally closed“ mode and open after a valid card has been presented to allow the authorized user to pass. The barriers move away from the user in a familiar “door-like“ motion, which is intuitive to use, ensuring quick acceptance. In the event of other authorized users trying to use the lane the barrier will stay open, even if they are walking in the opposite direction. The barriers will close quickly behind the authorised person to deter tailgaters. One standard-width and one wheelchair-compliant lane were installed in Macedonia by the client“s preferred local integrator Sectron Security & Communication Systems.
