In 2003, the Hostomel glass plant (Kiev region), a large-scale producer of glass containers, increased its output by UAH 14.492 million to UAH 117.006 million, a 14.1% increase on the figure for 2002, according to a company spokesman. He added that in 2003 the plant raised glass container output by 24 million units to 359 million, up 7.2% on 2002. In 2002, the plant increased output by UAH 6.107 million to UAH 102.514 million, up 6.3% on 2001. The Hostomel plant has three glass furnaces with production capacities of 80, 100 and 180 tons a day. The plant specializes in the production of bottles for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as glass containers for medical products and perfumes. The company“s statutory fund is UAH 0.174 million. US Ormex Trading Limited holds 8.13% of the shares in the company, and 44.5% are held by individuals.
