Hobbyglass.com, a division of Hegan Glassworks, Inc., has announced that it is expanding its line of cast bronze optic moulds for glassmakers with the addition of the small 14-point mould, especially suited to the production of stemware and ornaments. This artisan tool for glassblowers is, says Scott Hegan, the owner of Hobbyglass.com, produced with superior material, advanced proprietary vacuum casting techniques and CNC finishing. Substantial attention has been paid to the geometry of the mould, which eliminates the excessive draft resulting in awkwardly formed bubbles. Scott Hegan, the owner of Hobbyglass.com, has considerable production experience and advanced glassblowing techniques, and produces a series of optic moulds, available from the Hobbyglass studio and Olympic Color Rods, in Seattle, Washington, US.
