Beltekloprom glass factory in Gomel, Belarus is to receive a range of high-tech glass machinery from the German company, Heye-Glass. A contract was signed for the delivery of two Heye 8-section IS production machines, as well as a production know-how contract and an agreement to provide training for Belarussian engineers at the Heye-Glas training center. The total value of the contracts is approximately EUR 3 million. The Belarussian glass factory used to specialise in the production of glass TV screens. Now, under its new ownership, the factory wants to participate in the booming beer market in Belarus and produce 0.5-litre beer bottles on the Heye machines.
