Kuwaiti glass products maker Gulf Glass Manufacturing Company has signed a KWD 738,000 Kuwaiti (USD 2.5 million/EUR 2.0 million) contract to supply glass bottles to a bottling company in Algeria, the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) reported on 8 February 2004. Under the three-year deal, Gulf Glass Manufacturing will supply bottles worth KWD 246,000 (USD 834,900/EUR 655,300) in 2004, the KSE said. In early January 2004, Gulf Glass Manufacturing was reportedly negotiating contracts with companies from Qatar, Iran and Bahrain for the supply and marketing of glass bottles during 2004. Gulf Glass Manufacturing posted a net profit of KWD 572,200 (USD 1.9 million/EUR 1.5 million) for the first nine months of 2003, up from KWD 403,200 (USD 1.4 million/EUR 1.1 million ) for the same period of 2002.
