Kuwaiti glass products maker Gulf Glass Manufacturing Company posted a net profit of KWD 166,384 (USD 564,600/EUR 475,400) for the 1Q of 2004, up from KWD 139,551 (USD 473,500/EUR 398,700) in the corresponding period of 2003. The company“s earnings per share rose to KWD 0.0061 (USD 0.021/EUR 0.017) from KWD 0.00541 (USD 0.018/EUR 0.015). The KSE-listed Gulf Glass Manufacturing reported a net profit of KWD 736,400 (USD 2.5 million/EUR 2.1 million) for 2003, up from KWD 591,600 (USD 2.0 million/EUR 1.7 million) in 2002 and approved the raising of its capital to KWD 3.291 million (USD 11.2 million/EUR 9.4 million) from KWD 2.789 million (USD 9.5 million/EUR 8.0 million) through a bonus issue.
