The Architects’ Forum, a day-long programme focused on continuing education for architects, will, this year, be co-sponsored by Guardian Industries. Guardian will also be an exhibitor at Glass Expo Northeast, held in conjunction with The Architects’ Forum.
Guardian Industries is co-sponsoring The Architects’ Forum, 7 March 2013 in Long Island (Hauppauge), New York and bringing the latest in glass innovation to the Northeast architectural community through education and product display.
The Architects’ Forum, held at the Hyatt Regency Long Island at Wind Watch Hotel & Golf Club, is a day-long programme focused on continuing education for architects. Industry experts will lead six different information-rich sessions on the latest glass technologies. One of those experts is Leigh Anne Mays, Guardian’s Architectural Design Manager for the Northeast. Mays will present ‘The Evolution of Glass and High Performance Coatings’, an interactive presentation on the basics of glass, glass coatings and manufacturing; common energy terms in glass and glazing; glass trends and important design considerations; and energy cost savings when using high performance glass. The one-hour presentation takes place 7 March at 11 a.m. Architects and others attending The Architects’ Forum will earn one AIA learning unit from each session, totalling six for the day. Registration is free and lunch will be provided.
Guardian will also be an exhibitor at Glass Expo Northeast, 7-8 March 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, held in conjunction with The Architects’ Forum. On display at Booth 601 will be Guardian SunGuard glass products. SunGuard advanced architectural glass provides a comprehensive range of design solutions that allow architects to fully explore the aesthetic and functional possibilities of light.
