Guardian introduces ShowerGuard Low-Iron

Guardian now offers its popular corrision fighting ShowerGuard coating on a new low-iron float glass for North America.

ShowerGuard Low-Iron reduces the greenish cast of standard float glass for enhanced clarity, allowing the design and color of showers and bathrooms to shine through. With its more neutral edge color, ShowerGuard Low-Iron is ideal for clear, frameless enclosures.
Guardian ShowerGuard patented ion-beam technology permanently seals the surface of the glass for lasting beauty with lower maintenance. An invisible protective coating is fused to the surface of the glass, filling the peaks and valleys that occur naturally in glass and creating a smooth surface highly resilient to the soap and hard water buildup that dulls and eventually etches ordinary glass. Unlike wipe-on or spray products, Guardian ShowerGuard’s protection never needs to be reapplied. ShowerGuard is available in 10 mm and 12 mm thicknesses and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
“By introducing ShowerGuard Low-Iron into our interior glass product portfolio, we are increasing our value-added offerings for fabricators and glass dealers,” says Chris Dolan, Director of Marketing, North America Flat Glass for Guardian Industries. “ShowerGuard Low-Iron allows the end consumer to show off their tub, tile and fixures and visually opens interior space.”
Guardian ShowerGuard Registered Dealers benefit by having a new option that allows homeowners looking to improve the overall aesthetics of their bathrooms with a low-iron product.
ShowerGuard Low-Iron is featured on the newly redesigned Guardian ShowerGuard website.
“Our new website makes it easier for customers to learn more about ShowerGuard product options, including Low-Iron glass,” explained Dolan. “And, our refreshed Dealer Locator tool helps customers find a ShowerGuard dealer near them.
