Guardian Europe, part of the US-based Guardian Industries Group, is to invest US$ 100 million in a flat glass plant in Poland“s Katowice Special Economic Zone. It will be Guardian“s first investment in Poland. The new plant should create 250 jobs in the zone and is due for completion in 2005. Guardian Industries has a total of 20 factories worldwide, including 19 total production lines, of which six are in Europe.
