Global area dedicated to “Made in Italy” hollow glass at Vitrum 2015

“VITRUM” 2015, the annual international event dedicated to machinery and special products for flat and hollow glass processing, will be held from 6 to 9 October 2015 at Milan Exhibition Centre, Rho.

This year will be strongly focused on the hollow glass industry with a collective area dedicated to this important sector of Italian glass industry.
OCMI-OTG, leading supplier of complete lines and equipments for production of pharmaceutical and cosmetic tubular containers and tableware glass articles, will be participating in this initiative and will cooperate with main Italian companies to offer integrated solutions to visitors, said Mr. Michele Gusti, President of OCMI-OTG and President of Gimav Hollow Glass Group.
”This is an important opportunity to present the last developments of our sector and show to the entire market that Italian hollow glass industry remains at the highest levels in terms of quality and technology”.
An open space area in booth A09 inside the XIX edition of this event will host 6 leading realities, member companies of GIMAV, offering advanced solutions for every step of hollow glass processing.
”The decision to be present as a group at this edition of Vitrum, on the international stage, is also due to the important role that Italy and Milan are playing in 2015 thanks to Universal Expo”, Michele Gusti said.
The technological developments introduced will refer to a wide range of operations from preparation of raw materials, melting, to screen printing, annealing, decoration and packing.
The main purpose is to support customers and potential customers by offering them the most complete service and information about workflow to work with different types of glass and produce pressed or blown glass containers, bottles, stemware and tableware articles and special products such as ampoules, vials, droppers and cartridges for pharmaceutical or cosmetic use.
Another important sector on display is that of technical glass with applications in architectural and energy fields. One of the main markets for these types of products, with its important availability of raw materials, is Northern Africa a traditional source of visitors to Vitrum. 
Italian companies participating in this initiative will cooperate to offer turn-key solutions for the production of high technological content products like glass bricks and glass insulators.
