Greek glassmaker Gioula SA has become the largest in its sector in Greece and the Balkan region with an annual production capacity of 360,000 tonnes. Over the last five years, Gioula has invested around Euro 68.1 million in expansion. The company plans to file for listing on the Athens Stock Exchange by the end of 2001. With the listing, Gioula hopes to raise the capital needed to complete investments and pay back bank loans. The company operates four glassworks, two in the Attica region and two in Bulgaria.
