At its assembly on 23 May, The Italian Association of Glass Machinery and Accessories Suppliers (GIMAV) reconfirmed Annibale Besana as President and Dino Fenzi as Honorary President for another two years. Maurizio Enrico and Angelo Lovati were also named as Vice Presidents, while Michele Gusti was reconfirmed as President of the Hollow Glass Division and Ilario Borgonovo was appointed President of the Glass Union Group. Meanwhile, GIMAV reports a stable situation in the Italian glass machinery and accessories industry. Turnover for 1999 increased slightly by 0.54% to ItL 1,256 billion, from ItL 1,250 billion in 1998. Exports accounted for 75% of 1999 turnover. Imports, on the other hand, dropped from ItL 106.6 billion in 1998 to ItL 104.5 billion in 1999.
