Adrien Carton has joined Glass for Europe as ‘Sustainable Construction & Policy Manager’.
The Glass for Europe members, partners and secretariat look forward working with him to raise the profile of glazing in European policies on construction and to help shape a conducive policy for a thriving flat glass sector in Europe. This new position partly takes over some policy files and responsibilities previously followed by Luca Oggianu, who quitted Glass for Europe end-August after 10 years of support to this sector.
Thanks to his experience in public affairs and knowledge of the EU construction policy, as well as his established network of contacts in Brussels, Adrien should be able to make a difference for our sector at a crucial moment in European Affairs.
Adrien said, “I am very glad to join Glass for Europe. There is quite some important and exciting work ahead with the finalisation of key “Fit for 55” texts relating to building renovation and glass, new industrial and decarbonisation challenges for Europe and the European elections coming up next year.”
Adrien is already working hard to understand all the ins and outs of our industry. With site visits ahead, meetings with members and discussions with experts, he should be very rapidly up-to-speed and is available as of now for all your dealings on sustainable construction.
