The Asian region is developing into an increasingly important growth market for Gerresheimer. At this year“s CPhI China in Shanghai, 2-4 June 2010, Gerresheimer is presenting its wide range of innovative primary packaging for the pharma & healthcare industry. The Group“s Chinese subsidiary, Gerresheimer Shuangfeng, is now represented by plants in three different locations in China. The latest state-of-the-art plant in Danyang was opened just a year ago and offers reserves for further expansion. Demand from our highly specialized partners in Asia can now be served by us even better. We have at our disposal a high – and steadily growing – level of market-specific technological know-how and, in these Chinese plants, combine all the development and production steps under one roof, says Max Raster, member of the Management Board of Gerresheimer AG with responsibility for the Tubular Glass Division. The wide product spectrum on display at CPhI China comprises pharmaceutical packaging made of flint and amber tubular glass. In addition to cartridges for drug-delivery systems, as also used for example in modern dental medicine, the exhibits include also ampoules with which Gerresheimer occupies a leading market position in China, as well as medicine vials and a wide range of syringe systems. Innovative developments by the Gerresheimer Group include the PharmaPlusTM concept which, because of the high quality of glass packaging, is of key importance for biopharmaceutics in particular. The ready-to-fill sterile glass syringes, with individual laser coding and multicolour printing under the RTF brand, were also developed by Gerresheimer Tubular Glass in Europe and can be inspected in Shanghai.
