Gentex Corp. will supply automatic dimming rearview mirrors to Toyota Motor Corp.“s Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. unit for installation by dealers. Financial terms were not disclosed. In a recent press release, Gentex said the mirrors use sensors to detect glare from trailing vehicles and automatically darken, thereby making night driving safer. The mirrors will be offered as an accessory on Toyota“s Camry, Camry Solara SE, Avalon XL, Sienna, Tundra and Land Cruiser vehicles. Gentex said automatic dimming mirrors generate about 91% of its revenue. The company had 1999 sales of US$ 262.2 million.
