Moving to increase its European market share, Gentex Corp., a US-based manufacturer of electro-optic products, including automatic-dimming rearview mirrors and commercial fire-protection products, opened an automotive sales and engineering office in Paris called Gentex France S.A.S. Additonally, the company named Henri Bornhold president. Currently, 25% of Gentex“s revenue comes from European sales. The company posted US$ 262.2 million in revenue in 1999. In a press release, the company said Bornhold will oversee sales and engineering operations at the Paris office. Bornhold most recently was at Britax International Plc, and has worked at Siemens AG, The Echlin Group and Eaton Corp..
