The Glass Association of North America (GANA) has elected Michael Burriss as chair of its Laminating Division. Burriss succeeds Cliff Monroe of Arch Aluminum and Glass, and will chair the division“s meeting later this month at Glass Week, 24-27 March, in Las Vegas. Burriss graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Presbyterian College in 1995, and began as a coatings formulation chemist at Crown Metro, moving on to UCB Chemicals in the same role. In 2000, he was promoted to technical sales representative for the Uvekol Glass Laminating System, moving, in 2006, into Market Development for the Uvekol product line. In December 2010, he was promoted to global market manager for New Business Development, leading Cytec“s photovoltaic and glass coatings applications work.
