Singapore conglomerate Fraser & Neave Ltd (F&N) reported a strong interim performance, which saw its soft drink operations turn around, the company said. “The directors expect operating results for the full year to be substantially better than the prior year,” F&N said. The group said it believed that its soft drinks and breweries operations would perform significantly better than the previous year. It added that profitability in its dairy unit would be maintained and this was also likely to result in an improvement over the previous year. For its property holding, Centrepoint Properties, the group also forecast better performance than last year. F&N“s net profit for the six months ended March 31 rose to S$ 71.47 million from S$ 9.01 million in the same period last year, beating market consensus of S$ 117.2 million for the full year.
