The Fenzi Group celebrated 30 years of operations in the Asian continent during the China Glass 2010 Expo. The leading global manufacturer of chemicals for glass processing celebrated this important milestone with its most important clients and local authorities, who were all invited to attend the Shanghai 2010 Expo as special guests. Fenzi China Paints and Sealants Company Limited product sales on the local and neighbouring markets have grown hand in hand with the Chinese economy: a double digit growth trend that mirrors China“s GDP, on the rise again after the slowdown in 2009. Fenzi“s Asian export activities date back to 1980 when it started selling Duralux mirror paints across the vast Chinese area through its Hong Kong facility. The company has continued to expand its presence in China ever since, keeping pace with the progressive industrialization of the country. Initially, the Group focused on large cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, and gradually expanded its presence to the outskirts, which today are a fundamental, steady source of business for Fenzi. Top quality standards, nearby technical, logistical support and relatively lower transportation costs were the fundamental keystones upon which the Fenzi China Paints and Sealants Company Limited production plant was built and opened in 2006. Today Duralux products still lead the Chinese market (90% market share of all Group products) and play a primary role in the Chinese furniture sector, one of the main exports of the country. Moreover, local demand for the Tempver ceramic paints the plant recently started producing for the Chinese construction and furniture sectors is on the rise. The company also sells Thiover, two-part polysulphide high-end sealants for IG glass, designed to meet the strictest eco-compatibility standards and guaranteed to comply with the residential energy-saving regulations that China also plans to implement soon.
