European glassmaker Euroglas is said to be exploring the possibility of a new construction on the site of the Gubinihskiy sugar processing plant (Novomoskovsk r-n of the Dnepropetrovsk region). The volume of investments from Euroglas could be up to USD 200 million. Euroglas is also said to be studying another plot in the Kharkiv region. Euroglas was founded in 1993 and is a consortium of five independent medium-sized companies activity in glass processing. The parent company is Swiss Glas Troesch. Euroglas has plants in France, Germany and Poland, and employs more than 900 people. The company produces float glass, extra-white glass for solar systems, laminated safety glass, fire protection. Its product line also includes coated glass for use in thermal insulation and sun protection glass areas, as well as semi-finished products for thin-film photovoltaics.
