Emirates Glass hosts programme for Dubai Central Laboratory

Emirates Glass says its aims to become the centre of learning and innovation for the glass industry

A two-day training programme for Dubai Central Laboratory was recently organized by Emirates Glass, focussing on glass performance and testing for the construction and building industry.

Emirates Glass, a subsidiary of Dubai Investments and a leading architectural glass provider in the Middle East, recently organised a two-day training programme for Dubai Central Laboratory, the testing and certification wing of Dubai Municipality.
The training programme focused on glass performance and testing for the construction and building industry, underlining the company’s commitment to uphold the highest quality and testing standards in the glass industry, said a statement from the company.
It included presentations about glass manufacturing and processing and applications in the sector; factory tour of Emirates Glass in Al Quoz and the coating plant in Dubai Investments Park; as also practical testing sessions at its state-of-the-art laboratory.
Rizwanulla Khan, executive president – Emirates Glass, said: “We aim to become the centre of learning and innovation for the glass industry and prides itself on delivering high quality training that equips the attendees with the tools and knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest development in the glass processing industry.”
An official statement from Dubai Central Laboratory said: “This partnership with Emirates Glass will help us in fully delivering on Dubai Municipality’s vision of developing a happy and sustainable city by giving the department solid technical capabilities and business foundation in glass quality testing.”
“We are confident that Emirates Glass is the perfect partner to help foster technical advancement to its resources in the field of architectural glass quality testing and performance,” it added.
The training session marked the beginning of a series of collaborative engagements between the two organisations as Emirates Glass endeavours to be DCL’s preferred partner for all architectural glass requirements/ trainings/ conferences in the future, it stated.
