Automotive mirror technology business Donnelly Corporation has announced that it is in the process of acquiring all the remaining stock of Donnelly Electronics Inc. Both firms are based in Holland, Michigan, US. The transaction is scheduled to be completed in February, after which Donnelly Electronics will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Donnelly Corporation. Formed in 1996, Donnelly Electronics designs and manufactures circuit board assemblies for a variety of electronics products and sub-assemblies. Donnelly Corporation had held a minority interest in the company since its inception. “By fully integrating the design and development capabilities of Donnelly Corporation with the process engineering and know-how of Donnelly Electronics, we will be able to create a highly synergistic organization,” said Dwane Baumgardner, Donnelly chairman and CEO.
