UK company Cookson Matthey Ceramics Plc., the joint venture between UK companies Johnson Matthey and the Cookson Group, has reported increased profit for the fiscal year 1995-96. Johnson Matthey“s share of operating profits rose UK 23.8 million, up 54%. Cookson Matthey Ceramic is organized into two global divisions: Ceramic and Materials. During fiscal 1995-1996 the Ceramic division was restructured into four global businesses: Decorative Ceramics, Print, Tile, and Decorative Precious Metals. New decorative precious metal products are being developed for the Asia Pacific region to meet demand in the rapidly expanding tableware and glass industries. A new office was opened in Shandong Province, China, and an agreement was signed in the fourth quarter of 1995 to open a sales office in Delhi, India.
