The first waste heat cogeneration of float glass with oxygen-full combustion has successfully started operation at Anhui Huaguang Photoelectric Materials Science & Technology Group, installed by Bengbu Glass Industry Design Institute with independent intellectual property rights technology. The project has reached international advanced level in technology, scale, energy consumption, quality etc., creating a new situation for upgrading and reconstruction, and has epoch-making significance on realizing energy conservation and emission reduction in China’s glass industry.
The project is the first waste heat cogeneration of float glass with oxygen-full combustion in China, realizing energy conservation and emission reduction through a waste heat boiler and a turbine with installed power of 2 MW. It forces the fumes given off by glass production into the exhaust-heat boiler, and, therefore, kiln pressure is stable. The project estimates annual generation capacity of 14.04 million kilowatt-hours, thus saving 5068 tons of coal every year.
