China’s “Twelfth Five-year Development Plan of PV Power Generation” has clarified that the development of distributed PV power generation will be key to future domestic PV market applications, and foresees total investments of CNY 250 billion for installations of 20 million KW.
China’s “Twelfth Five-year Development Plan of PV Power Generation” was officially issued on 12 September by the National Energy Administration, with a total planning target of PV power generation set for 21 million KW, with 20 million KW for PV and heat power generation of 1 million KW. The development plan also foresees total investments of CNY 250 billion for installations of 20 million KW.
The plan has clarified that the development of distributed PV power generation will be key to future domestic PV market applications. The plan will also supervise and urge the government and enterprises to actively implement supporting policies. It also encourages enterprises to make annexation and reorganization under the market principle and weed out backward production capacity.
Distributed PV power generation of the plan mainly adopts patterns of independent power generation by families and factories, to avoid problems of centralized access of the power grid and long-distance transportation.
