The Home Depot, the major US home improvement retailer recently named CertainTeed Corporation as its Partner of the Year in the building materials category. Accepting the award at Home Depot“s store support centre in Atlanta, were Jorma Toivonen, president of CertainTeed“s Insulation Group, Dan Stuart, vice president of the company“s Retail Products Division, and Carl Annas, national accounts manager. Award criteria include overall performance in categories such as completion of on-time shipments, in-store service, product environmental performance, point-of-purchase support, product safety and customer knowledge. CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain group subsidiary based in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, US, won the award from among more than 100 building materials companies in recognition of its service excellence and the quality of CertainTeed-brand fibre glass insulation and other materials, which the company supplies to more than 300 Home Depot stores throughout the United States.
