Bulgarian-Italian company Bul-It Glass Ltd., a joint venture between the Italian manufacturer of bent glass and glass products Curvet S.p.A., and Bulgarian glass maker Lucky Glass, has opened a EUR 2.0 million (USD 2.4 million) factory for IG units in Aksakovo, company official Krassimir Daskalov said. Bul-It Glass was registered in 2000 in Varna. The company launched its first line worth over EUR 1.0 million (USD 1.2 million) in 2002. Its bent glass furnace is the largest in Bulgaria. The line produces bent and tempered glass for the furniture-making sector. The company exports 50% of its output to neighbouring Romania and sells the reminder on the domestic market. The factory in Aksakovo is the second facility for IG units in Bulgaria. It has a monthly production capacity of 15,000 sq m. The factory in Aksakovo uses only imported materials from Sisecam and Glaverbel. The plant was equipped by Austria“s Lisec.
