Bohemi Chemicals produces a wide range of products for the treatment of glass containers. The Italian-based firm says its products are designed to help glassmakers meet today“s demand for lightweight glass containers and better-looking packaging. With the filling speed of containers also becoming quicker due to advanced technologies, the importance of minimizing breakage and ensuring economical efficiency in hollow glass coating and glass-colouring treatment is even greater. Bohemi Chemicals offers the following products designed to optimize hot end coating: – monobutil tin chloride (stabilized) “Startin S”; – tin tetrachloride While for the cold end, its coatings include: – polyethylene emulsions / Polyglas; – oleic acids. Polyglass raw materials are approved for use on food containers. Bohemi also produces oxides for colouring glass: bismuth oxide, cerium oxide, cobalt oxide, neodimium oxide, niobium pentoxide, praesodimium oxide, selenium oxide.
