9 July 1998: Paul Daffern has been made finance director of Britain“s Autoglass, which is considered to be the number one repair and replacement car glass company in the UK, according to a press report. He will now be managing the 60 people who make up Autoglass“s finance team and be based in the company“s headquarters in Bedford. However, his first job on his return has been to join Autoglass“s road show which goes round Britain every year explaining to employees how the company is doing. “It is great having that contact with our staff and we are really well received, but it is very exhausting,” he told the press. “Our overall aim is to provide a better service, rather than a cheaper service.”
