According to Assovetro, Italy’s National Association of Glass Industries, the crisis of the sector can be won by designing and creating ‘made to measure’ glass containers, especially for wine and spirits.
Bottles and jars that are designed and created ‘made to measure’ to fight the crisis that in 2012 caused a drop in the production of glass containers of 4.8% compared to the previous year. This, according to Assovetro, the National Association of Glass Industries of Italy, part of Confindustria, is the new frontier of the glass industry with 1,500 small wineries requesting absolutely personalized bottles to safeguard the distinct character of their products, as well as the important ”made in Italy” spirits industry which uses 600 million special-shaped and designed glass containers.
