The Indonesian company, PT Asahimas Flat Glass, reported a loss for the full year ended 31 December 2000 of Rp 23.4 billion versus a net profit of Rp 27.4 billion the previous year. The loss per share amounted to Rp 54 compared to earnings per share of Rp 63 in 1999. Sales in 2000 were Rp 1.02 trillion versus 786.4 billion the year before. Asahimas suffered foreign exchange losses of Rp 250.9 billion in 2000 versus gains of Rp 52.5 billion the year before.
