Japan“s Asahi Glass Co. has increased its stake in its listed Indonesian subsidiary PT Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk from 177,182,500 to 177,721,500 shares. Asahi Glass President Shinya Ishizu told the Capital Market Supervisory Board (Bapepam) that his company bought the shares from the investing public on 14 May and 15 May. Asahimas Flat Glass is an Indonesia-Japan joint venture with Asahi Glass and PT Rodamas as the majority shareholders. It produces sheet glass and safety glass.
