AS Glaskek, an Estonian producer of insulating glass and PVC doors and windows, plans to invest up to EUR 120,000 in 2004 in its St Petersburg plant in order to double its output. Constantine Oberschneider, Chairman of the Board of Glaskek St Petersburg said the factory is located on a 4 000 sq. m. site, rented from the Kirov Plant, and has a monthly output capacity of 2 000 sq. m. used for glazing commercial projects such as the PIK complex on Sennaya Square in St. Petersburg. The new investments will cover the acquisition of German-made equipment. AS Glaskek posted aggregate ten months“ sales of USD 45 million. Besides Moscow and St Petersburg, the enterprise runs production facilities in the Baltic States and Finland.
