15 April 1999: Italian companies Antas and Olivotto have started a stemware line at Crisal, a Portuguese tableware manufacturer. The plant is equipped with a 12-section press and blow machine from Olivotto, which is used for producing bowls, while a 28-station double gob press machine has been supplied by Antas for production of the stems. The production line has an average capacity of about 80,000 finished stemware items per day. The companies said that the installation has strenghtened their cooperation with one common goal: to supply the customer with a modern, flexible and reliable stemware production line. The two Italian companies have also jointly supplied complete stemware lines to glass manufacturers in England, Germany, Italy and Turkey. Antas and Olivotto say they can provide lines with different production methods. The options are: the press and blow method, the blow and blow method, the stem on bowl process or the bowl on stem method.
