Alu-Pro, the Italian aluminum spacer manufacturer for insulating glass, has acquired Erbsloh-Rolltech A/S of Denmark, a unit of Erbsloh AG group. With this acquisition Alu-Pro can now offer a complete range of spacers for insulating glass in aluminum, steel and stainless steel. The acquired company will change its name to Rolltech A/S and currently has market presence in Scandanavia, Benelux, Germany and Nordic countries. As a market leader in steel and stainless steel profiles, Rolltech offers good synergy with Alu-Pro in terms of product portfolio and market penetration as there is no overlap. Rolltech produces the brands Ferrotech and Chromotech on 10 production lines at its Hjorring site in Denmark. The combined group will have a 2001 turnover of over Euro 35 million, with production facilities in Italy, Denmark and Poland. Alu-Pro, based in Salzano Italy, currently produces more than 160 million meters of aluminum profiles annually using high frequency welding technology, with products exported worldwide to over 40 countries. “The strategic outcome of this acquisition will be impressive. It will complete our product range and add the most advanced warm edge technology on the market to our portfolio,” declared Alessandro Fenzi, director of Alu-Pro. Economic details of the deal were not disclosed.
